THE PROJECT:
Satellite Retail Services was contacted about conducting a survey and analysis for a retail chain that was experiencing stagnant sales growth. The stores in question covered eight metropolitan markets in five states across the country. Our principal objective: to identify relevant issues and present recommendations that would stimulate growth in consumer traffic.
THE CHALLENGE:
To create a picture, both visually and verbally, that would facilitate a comprehensive representation for off-site evaluation purposes. We had to customize the data gathering and reporting systems to fit the clients key areas of concern, and work extensively with them to revise several drafts before we could dispatched our teams into the field.
THE PLAN:
After drafting a final set of parameters and supporting documents, we decided that we needed to conduct an actual survey on one of the locations in question to verify and test our methods of data collection. At the conclusion of the test location, we processed all data per our original plan to see if we had succeeded in doing what we set out to do. Finally, we needed to test the portals through which the information was intended to pass in route for final delivery to the customer.
THE PROCESS:
After our test project was completed and approved, the task of scheduling stores and personnel was put into motion. We kicked off the project per our final plan and completed it within the customers' targeted timeline. Each store in the rollout was visited as scheduled, the site contacts were notified of our presence, and the documentation was gathered. At the conclusion of each store, team members uploaded all the necessary documentation to be processed and packaged for delivery.
THE CLIENT:
Upon completion of each individual site, Satellite Retail Services submitted a complete project binder with a photo gallery of each store, an original sign-off, a summary and recommendations outline, and final invoice. The client gave us a call to inform us that what we delivered was exactly what they were looking for.
